The Zambezi Miss is one of the boats from Disneyland's Jungle Cruise.

The Zambezi Miss is a 1930s steamboat.

History[]

The Zambezi Miss was a steamboat used by the Jungle Navigation Company in the early half of the 20th century. At some point, the boat was used by boatsman Charlie Allnut and his wife Rose Sayer. The two used the boat to look for the infamous lost safari of the African veldt in North Africa to unknown avail.

In the 1930s, the Zambezi Miss was used by the JNC for their, "Jungle Cruise" tourism service. Here, the boat made harbour at a boathouse in the Lost Delta of India. The Zambezi Miss was used for the boat to at-least 1938 as it was active during the disappearance of fellow boat, the Kwango Kate.

Bengal Barbecue[]

There is a photograph of Allnut and Sayer aboard the Miss along the African veldt in this restaurant. They are also shown with a stuffy of Albert the monkey and a 1911 portrait of Dr. Albert Falls.

Jungle Cruise[]

The Zambezi Miss is one of the boats used at Disneyland's Jungle Cruise. In Disneyland's Jungle Cruise, it is mentioned as traveling the Ganges river on a board.[1]

Jingle Cruise[]

During Disneyland's Jingle Cruise, the Zambezi Miss was renamed to the Peppermint Miss.

The African Queen[]

Bengal Barbecue showed the Miss being piloted by Charlie Allnut and Rose Sayer, the protagonists of this 1951 film that inspired imagineer Harper Goff's development of the Jungle Cruise.

Mystic Manor[]

Albert the Monkey who is shown on the Miss in Bengal Barbecue is protagonist of this attraction.

Trivia[]

  • Every version of the Jungle Cruise other than Disneyland's counterpart to the Zambezi Miss is the, "Zambezi Zelda".
