Victoria Marie Falls is a character in the Jungle Cruise who originates from the Skipper Canteen.

History[]

Victoria Marie Falls was a 19th century explorer who married fellow adventurer Dr. Albert Falls. The two lived in a mansion together where they had a son named Albert Falls, Jr.. in 1911, Albert founded the Jungle Navigation Company to transport cargo and passengers through Earth's oceans. Victoria often ran the company in her husband's absence.

In 1919, the couple's granddaughter Alberta was sent to live with them. While Albert and Alberta were off adventuring, Victoria often ran the company. In 1928, Dr. Albert mysteriously disappeared with Alberta eventually inheriting the company.

Jungle Cruise[]

In the lead-up to the 2021 refurbishment of the Jungle Cruise, Alberta brought up Victoria's history to the Daily Gnus newspaper. She also mentions piloting the Molopo Marie, a boat named for Victoria.

Skipper Canteen[]

A book by Victoria titled the "Married Into the Jungle" is in the library. A model of the Molopo Marie is in the Falls family parlour.

Trivia[]

  • Victoria's first-name is a reference to Victoria Falls, real-life waterfall on the Zambezi River. Her middle name is likely a tribute to Lillian Marie Disney, the historic wife of Walt Disney.
  • The Falls couple being named Victoria & Albert is likely a reference to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
