The Upstream Society is a group from the Jungle Cruise.
Description[]
The Upstream Society was a seemingly upper-class club which was affiliated with, or a division of, the Jungle Navigation Company during the 1930s. They were affiliated with upper-class style parties, and had a room in the Jungle Navigation Company's boathouse in the Amazon rainforest.

The society has a door in the queue at the Magic Kingdom. Outside of the door was a cabinet with top hats, champagne, glasses and a tiara labelled, "Break in case of party". In Disneyland's boathouse, there are the words, "Upstream Society is the best!" scribbled over by the Bote Crashers, while they themselves scribbled over the message of the Pachs.

- Near the Upstream Society's door is a photograph is a historic photograph which was famously used in the final scene of Stanley Kubrick's classic horror-film The Shining, showing the deceased murderous father Jack Torrance at the front of a party from the haunted hotel's golden years. The person in the front's face is modified to depict neither the original individual, nor Jack Torrance.
