The Outpost also known as the Indiana Jones Outpost or Adventure Trading Company outpost is the name of a fictional location which was setting for the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost in Disneyland's Adventureland.
Description[]
This was a trading outpost located in some exotic region which was part of the Wilds of Adventureland, a supernatural realm of jungles across the world connected by the Rivers of Adventure. Which region the outpost was located in is unknown though it is most likely to have been the Lost Delta of India with other candidates being Cairo, Egypt or some region of South America.
The trading post sold adventuring gear along with being well-known for the trade of bullwhips and fedoras. The building itself was 2-3 floors with a small balcony. The outpost hosted different groups such as the colonial forces of the Jungle Navigation Company or Adventure Trading Company, and archaeological groups such as that of Indiana Jones whom the outpost was affiliated with.
History[]
Background[]
The building that held the outpost is visibly old and by the 1930s was turned into a trading post. Between the June of 1935 and the July of 1936, the outpost housed famous archaeologist Indiana Jones and aided members of his team the Lost Delta Archaeological Expedition when they excavated the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. During the expedition, the outpost also hosted the colonial Adventure Trading Company during its stop in Adventureland following making the rounds in Harambe, the Lost River Delta of Peru and the colony of Mystic Point. By this point, the outpost was also affiliated with the Jungle Navigation Company.
