History[]
Biography[]
Sir James Hobbs-Coddington was a British aristocrat in the 1910s who was as a high-ranking member of the Royal Anthropological and Diverse Adventures Society in London, England. In 1916 in the midst of World War I, he joined forces with the German kaiser's son Prince Joachim whom he agreed to sell the Arrowhead of Lukarina for bars of solid gold. This artifact was recovered on a prior expedition by society-member Dr. Albert Falls from the peaceful Puka Michuna tribe of the Amazon rainforest and was key to finding the mystical Tears of the Moon tree which Joachim wished to use to take over the world.
This same year, aspiring member MacGregor Houghton proposed the society fund an expedition to find the tree using the arrowhead. Coddington turned this down out of prejudice for MacGregor and his sister, Lily Houghton. Because of this, Lily stole the arrowhead for herself and became an enemy of Joachim. When Sir Hobbs-Coddington accidentally revealed Joachim's identity, the prince murdered several of the knight's contemporaries in the society.
