History[]
Background[]
The Royal Anthropological and Diverse Adventures Society was an esteemed British society based on London, England. Prior to 1916, member Dr. Albert Falls represented the society on an expedition to the Amazon rainforest to find the mystical Tears of the Moon tree. Here, Dr. Falls took the Arrowhead of Lukarina sacred to the peaceful Puka Michuna tribe and brought it back to London.
In 1916 and the midst of World War I, society-leader Sir James Hobbs-Coddington conspired to sell the arrowhead to enemy German Kaiser Wilhelm II's son Prince Joachim who wished to use the Tears of the Moon to have Germany take over the world. Before this could transpire, aspiring member MacGregor Houghton proposed an expedition to use the arrowhead on a mission to find the Tears of the Moon. When Sir James Hobbs-Coddington denied this request out of prejudice, MacGregor's sister Lily Houghton who was denied membership due to her sex stole the arrowhead.
Prince Joachim would follow the siblings to the Amazon in competing expeditions though ultimately the Houghtons succeeded. The society later attempted to enlist the Houghton siblings in their ranks only to be turned out and criticized by them for their many amoral practices.
Development history[]
The society was created for the film as a clear analogue for the real-world Royal Society of London for Improving Natural Knowledge. The society might also be a parallel to the Society of Explorers and Adventurers, a fictional society of colonizers and aristocrats from the Disney Parks of which Dr. Albert Falls was a member.

Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye[]
Nigel Greenwater brings up Marcus Brody speaking on the Temple of the Forbidden Eye the Royal Anthropological Society which has a name strikingly similar to the Royal Anthropological and Diverse Adventures Society.
Jungle Cruise[]
Dr. Albert Falls is a character originating from the Jungle Cruise ride. In Disneyland's Jungle Cruise, Nigel Greenwater mentions a Royal Anthropological Society being connected to the Lost Delta Archaeological Expedition on the Global Broadcasting Service. In the Amazon River Base, a crate labelled "A. Falls Botanical Expedition" might be a reference to Dr. Albert Falls' expedition to find the Tears of the Moon.
