Professor R. Blauerhimmel is a character from Mystic Manor in Hong Kong Disneyland.

History[]

Biography[]

Professor R. Blauerhimmel was a German aviator during the late 19th century. He was a member of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers, an international guild of colonial explorers and aristocrats. On the December 31 of 1899, he attended a S.E.A. meeting in the Hotel Hightower of New York City to celebrate his evil contemporary Harrison Hightower III having robbed the African Mtundu tribe of their idol Shiriki Utundu.

In 1904, Blauerhimmel traversed the Ucayali River in Peru. The professor was seemingly (but not confirmed to be) active into the 1930s.

Development history[]

Professor R. Blauerhimmel was created for the attraction Mystic Manor in Hong Kong Disneyland. He was modelled after imagineer Rob't Coltrin and has a name which is German for "Blue Sky", a term used in Imagineering to mean, "No limits".[1]

Other connections[]

Jingle Cruise[]

The book Traditional native holiday décor seemingly references the Jingle Cruise. This might be connecting Blauerhimmel to the Jungle Navigation Company aviator who dumped Christmas decorations in Adventureland from the backstory of said overlay.
