The Pandora Conservation Initiative or PCI is a fictional organization from Pandora: The World of Avatar and its Jungle Cruise attraction of Na'vi River Journey in Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Description[]

The Pandora Conservation Initiative is an ecological and environmental organization based on the alien exo-moon of Pandora. They are composed of xenobiologists, scientists, and conservationists who work to study and preserve Pandora's wildlife. They have access to futuristic technologies and are partnered with organizations such as Alpha Centauri Expeditions, Omaticaya Clan and the Wilderness Explorers. The PCI's logo is of a woodsprite, an organism native to Pandora.

Outposts[]

  • Valley of Mo'ara: This is a valley on Pandora which was colonized and terraformed for human usage by the evil Resources Development Administration. Following the Pandoran War, the land was reclaimed by the native Omaticaya Clan who allowed the Pandora Conservation Initiative to use it due to its terraformed state.

History[]

The Pandora Conservation Initiative was likely founded at some point after the end of the Pandoran War in 2154. Following the Na'vi victory, the world was still largely devastated by the effects of the Resources Development Administration. Years later, the PCI began using recovered tech and bases from the PCI to help and conserve the world of Pandora in partnership with the Omaticaya Clan. PCI board member Marshall Lamm would found the eco-tourism group Alpha Centauri Expeditions to bring more humans to Pandora and garner support for the PCI's cause.
