History[]

Background[]

The Magdalena Maiden was a boat used by the Jungle Navigation Company during the 1930s and which used the boathouse in the Lost Delta of India as its base. Around 1935/1936, the boat vanished in the jungle along with a boat called the Mekong Maiden. Said event coincided with company boatsman Skip Dockmonkey having caused an accident which resulted in mass destruction at the boathouse though Dockmonkey denied responsibility in the occurrence.

The fate of the Magdalena Maiden is a mystery but it is known that the Mekong Maiden was wrecked along the Nile river. The last photograph of the Magdalena Maiden was in the possession of the ancient Trader Sam. An article on it was written for The Daily Gnus newspaper by Skip Dockmonkey who doubled as a journalist for the Daily Gnus. A life-preserver from the boat came into possession of Trader Sam by 1960 at the latest.
