In the Skipper Canteen is a map titled Legendary Beasts of the Mediterranean. The map was created prior to 1928 by the sea-captain Mary Oceaneer for her colonial guild, the Society of Explorers and Adventurers. This map was hung up in the estate of her contemporary, Dr. Albert Falls within a secret meeting-room for the society.

	Crocker Fish	Also known as, "The Living Straits", this is a giant whale-like creature which encountered the legendary hero Sindbad.		Sindbad's Seven Voyages/Storybook Voyage		Based specifically on the original angry incarnation. Name may be in tribute to imagineer John Crocker.
	Giant Squid	A giant squid which attacked the Nautilus submarine before getting electrocuted.	20,000 Leagues Under the Sea	20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage	The squid was once planned to appear on the Jungle Cruise. The squid's arm is mounted in Trader Sam's Grog Grotto.
	Kimballum Horriblus	This was a sea-serpent encountered by Cristobol Colon on his voyages.	N/A	World of Motion		The name of the serpent is a tribute to imagineer Ward Kimball.
	The Nautilus	This was a victorian-era nuclear-powered submarine created and piloted by one Captain Nemo.	20,000 Leagues Under the Sea	20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (Disneyland attraction)	Trader Sam was friends with Nautilus passenger Ned Land and travelled to its port of Vulcania, studying drink recipes. He kept a portrait of the Nautilus in his Grog Grotto.
	Runconocerus					May be named in tribute to Disney imagineer/designer, Chris Runco.

Trivia

• There are some creatures on the map which have yet to be properly noted by wiki contributors, including what appears to be a living-whirlpool like Charybdis from Greek myth, a monster resembling a mythical Sea-Swine or fictionalized depiction of a whale found on old maps, a giant lobster similar to the Leviathan from Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001), and an aquatic elk-like monster.
