Kenneth Cooper "Ken" Annakin, O.B.E. was an English film director who frequently collaborated with the Walt Disney Company. This included the films were The Swiss Family Robinson (1960) which greatly influenced Adventureland via the Swiss Family Treehouse and Third Man on the Mountain (1959) which inspired the Disneyland attraction Matterhorn Bobsleds.

- In the queue for Walt Disney World's Jungle Cruise is a crate addressed to, "Kenneth Annakin", the director of imports at the Swiss Supply Company in the colony of New Guinea.[1]

The former of these books references actor John Mills who starred in Annakin's Swiss Family Robinson while the latter alludes to Matterhorn Bobsleds and by extension, Third Man on the Mountain.
