The overlay ran in 2007 as part of Adventureland's Pirate Takeover event during which time, Adventureland was renamed to, "Pirateland". This was done as a promotion for the release of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End.
Summary[]
Most of the attraction ran mostly like a normal incarnation of Jungle River Cruise albeit with pirate iconography littered throughout the attraction.[1] In place of the headhunter scene, the boats were held up by a pirate armed with a cannon. This pirate asked them a pirate riddle which turned out to be a simply personal question I.E. "What is your favourite colour" before letting them go into the Canyon of the Gods.
