The Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost is a defunct shop from Disneyland's Adventureland which is also present in the Echo Lake area of Disney's Hollywood Studios and Adventureland of Disneyland Paris. The shop is themed towards the Indiana Jones film franchise.

The Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost is set in, "The Outpost", a shop in an unidentified tropical region making up the Wilds of Adventureland. This base was used as an outpost by world-famous archaeologist Indiana Jones in the 1930s, presumably for missions such as the Lost Delta Archaeological Expedition and/or excavating the Temple of Peril.
Around 1936 in the midst of the Lost Delta Archaeological Expedition, the outpost hosted the colonial Adventure Trading Company when it arrived in Adventureland following stops in the Lost River Delta of Peru, Mystic Point in Papua New Guinea and Harambe in East-Africa. Here, the Trading Company recruited new members, traded juju pendants, and became involved in Adventureland affairs.
Disney's Hollywood Studios[]
In Disney's Hollywood Studios, the shop is located in Echo Lake, Hollywood in Los Angeles nearby a set where Indiana Jones films are being shot. The shop has more Egyptian influenced architecture and might represent a set used for filming the Indiana Jones films.
Development history[]
The outpost opened in 1995 to tie in with Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye, replacing the Safari Outpost which had opened in 1986. In Disneyland Paris, the shop replaced Trader Sam's Jungle Boutique, named for the character of Trader Sam from the Jungle Cruise and was used to tie-into Indiana Jones et le Temple du Péril. In 2014, the shop was used as the base for the Adventure Trading Company, an interactive game used to play-test for the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. The shop would close in Disneyland in 2017 to make way for an expansion of the Adventureland Bazaar and Bengal Barbecue.
