Lost Delta[]

The Lost Delta is a mysterious jungle region located along a river. The delta also makes up the outskirts of, "Adventureland".

  • Jungle Navigation company boathouse: The boathouse is a victorian estate which was purchased by the Jungle Navigation Company to serve as their outpost in the region and original headquarters.[1]
  • Patrick Begorra's Tree: This was a tree which was home to a diminutive leprechaun named Patrick Begorra.

  • Temple of the Forbidden Eye: The Temple of the Forbidden Eye is a temple on the river's Lost Delta in India. The temple served to house and worship the deity Mara who promised their worshipers a gift of either Earthly Riches, Eternal Youth, or Future Knowledge. Following a flood, the temple was abandoned until it was excavated in the 20th century. The temple is filled with, "Maraglyphs", a language spoken by Mara's ancient worshipers.

Pankot Province[]

  • Pankot Palace: The Pankot Palace was a palace in Pankot, India located atop the "wounded" or "bleeding" mountain. The palace was surrounded by crocodile-infested waters and hid a series of caverns, booby-traps, secret passageways and mines. The palace was used as the capital building for Pankot, India under its subjugation by the British Empire.

  • Kolkata: Kolkata is the capital of west-Bengal, located on the eastern bank of the Hooghly River along the Bay of Bengal.

Adventure Trading Company[]

The Eye of Mara Juju was modelled after the Eye of Mara and represented knowledge. Players earned it via deciphering maraglyphs from the temple.  The Daily Gnus newspaper has a community posting for an, "Unclaimed baggage sale" at the temple.[2] Additionally, there are advertisements for tours of the temple on the newspaper's next page.

Club 33[]

The, "Guards of Mara" drink served at the Tiki Takeover event was modelled after the snake statues of Mara's temple. The menu paired the drink with a ticket belonging to Sneh Falls for a trip to Mumbai, India in 1937.[3]

Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye[]

The Lost Delta is the setting of this attraction. The Lost Delta Archaeological Expedition is being supported by the British Colonial Affairs of Delhi, India.

Jungle Cruise[]

The boathouse of Disneyland's Jungle Cruise is set in the Lost Delta of India. Following a 2021 refurbishment, the Indian Elephant Bathing Pool was also set along the Ganges River though still being set in Cambodia along the Mekong. Dr. Albert Falls is referenced as having travelled to the Ganges on his 13-day expedition to map the Rivers of Adventure in the queue for Disneyland's Jungle Cruise. Additionally, a crate addressed to British Colonial Affairs in Delhi can be found.

In the Magic Kingdom's Jungle Cruise, Calcutta is referenced on a mural alongside Zanzibar as having agents of the Jungle Navigation Company. A crate also identifies Dr. Albert Falls as having an address in the Bay of Bengal though it is unknown if this address is in India. In an interview with The Daily Gnus, Alberta mentioned piloting the Molopo Marie to see her maternal grandparents along the Ganges River.

Indiana Jones Summer of Hidden Mysteries[]

In this overlay, the Umbala Tribe were shown to be in possession of Mola Ram's headdress.

Magic of Disney Animation[]

The fictional Disney film, "The Jungle Cruise" is referenced as being shot by the JNC in Calcutta.

Skipper Canteen[]

A map by Jason Chandler and Captain Brieux titled, " Legendary Flying Beasts of the Mekong Legendary Flying Beasts of the Mekong river and the surrounding territories" shows parts of India.

Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar[]

There is a map of the temple in Trader Sam's possession, sent to him by Sallah.[4] There is also a newspaper speaking on the subject of tourists who disappeared in the temple. Letters to Sam from characters such as Marcus Brody and Sallah also reference the temple. Another photograph of the temple appears with a note from Sam which reads, "This is my favourite mosquito infested spot to get water for all green drinks ordered at my bar".[5]

Framed on the wall of the Enchanted Tiki Bar is a photograph of the boathouse and her docks from before it was rebuilt. Along with this is a note from Trader Sam reading, "Happy hour brings in boatloads of tourists!".[6]

Tropical Imports[]

Atop this shop is a crate addressed to Delhi, India coming from the Lost Delta, being sent by Indiana Jones to British Colonial Affairs.[7]

The Pankot Province of India is the setting for the majority of this film.

This story is set in a forest of India, namely the jungles of Seoni.

Lily Houghton mentions having spent her childhood amongst, "Toddler pickpockets" in Delhi.

Jungle Cruise (film)[]

The Jungle Navigation Company's boathouse contains several apparent connections to the Jungle Cruise film. Namely, the outfits of Frank Wolff and Lily Houghton both hang in Alberta's office, Lope de Aguirre's helmet is hung in one of the corridors, and the map to Lágrimas de Cristal is framed on a wall.  Nigel Greenwater of the Global Broadcasting Service also brings up Marcus Brody speaking on the Temple of the Forbidden Eye the Royal Anthropological Society which has a name strikingly similar to the Royal Anthropological and Diverse Adventures Society from the film.

Tower of Terror[]

A mural in the Hotel Hightower depicts Harrison Hightower III plundering the statue of an unidentified creature from India. This statue also appears within the queue as part of his collection of stolen artifacts. Services of the Hotel Hightower's Rajah's Pool was the, "Maharajah's Massage Parlour" and, "Ganges Gymnasium". Murals in the gift-shop depict Harrison Hightower III as the Hindu god Vishnu while others seemingly show him in India.
