The Hotel Hightower is a fictional location from the attraction Tower of Terror in Tokyo DisneySea. The location is directly referenced in various Jungle Cruise attractions.
Description[]
The Hotel Hightower was a large 19th century hotel constructed on One Park Avenue in New York City. The hotel was used as the headquarters for Harrison Hightower III, an evil colonial explorer and robber baron. Hightower kept a large collection of stolen and amorally acquired artifacts within the hotel, while also using it to meet with contemporary colonial explorers such as the Society of Explorers and Adventurers.
On the New Year's Eve of 1899, Hightower's stolen tribal African idol Shiriki Utundu was angered and killed Hightower while trapping his soul in the hotel. In the following years, the hotel was shut down and turned into a historic site by the New York City Preservation Society for them to run tours within. However, this was orchestrated by Hightower's surviving manservant Archibald Smelding in hopes of sending human sacrifices to Shiriki Utundu in hopes that it would convince the deity to free his master's soul.
