Hollywood also known as Tinseltown and in the parks as Hollywoodland is a real-world neighbourhood in Los Angeles, California. Hollywood is most famous for its historic affiliation with the film industry.

Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye[]

A 1930s Hollywood actress is shown in the Eye on the Globe news-footage as having been turned young by Mara's gifts in the Temple of the Forbidden Eye.

In Alberta Falls' office at the Magic Kingdom there is a telegram sent to the JNC by Skipper Shaun in Hollywood.

Magic of Disney Animation[]

This attraction had an area themed to being the Hollywood dressing-room of Minnie Mouse. This contained a poster for a film titled, "The Jungle Cruise" made with the Jungle Navigation Company which premiered in the Theatre of the Stars on Sunset Boulevard. The credits also listed Trader Sam, Skipper Lasseter, Skipper Brennan and H. Goff as being amongst the film's cast and crew.

In this since retconned backstory for the Jungle Cruise, the Jungle Cruise was born in the early 1930s by transporting Hollywood film directors who wanted footage of the jungle.

The Great Movie Ride[]

This attraction was initially set in Hollywood's Chinese Theatre with the framing device of entering different movies from said theatre. With the attraction Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, the same theatre was used to connect to Toontown.

Indiana Jones[]

The Hollywood Studios attraction Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! is themed around being an Indiana Jones film-set while nearby the the Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost. Outside the attraction, Dr. Dunfor Pullit can be heard excavating underground. Pullit originates from Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye where he was a member of the Lost Delta Archaeological Expedition, excavating the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. Echo Lake also has the shop Indiana Jones Adventure Outpost.

At Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar, Jock Lindsey has coasters from the South Seas Club in his possession of coasters from dining-establishments which he visited. In the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Indiana Jones was hired by Universal Studios to travel to Hollywood in 1920 where he confronted with director Erich Von Stroheim (1885-1957).

Mickey Mouse & Friends[]

The location of Toontown which houses the Mickey Mouse characters is located outside of Hollywood and originates from the 1988 film Who Framed Roger Rabbit. There are many references to Who Framed Roger Rabbit throughout Disney's Hollywood Studios including the office of Eddie Valiant, a billboard for Maroon Cartoons, and Roger Rabbit's hand-prints outside the Chinese Theatre.[2] The Chinese Theatre also connects to the Toontown location of the Yen Sid Valley and has characters like Mickey Mouse as being active in its depiction of Hollywood.

The Muppets[]

The Disney Parks YouTube channel released a video of a skipper being interviewed by Fozzie Bear from the Muppets. The Muppets' studio is set in Hollywood.

Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room[]

In the Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management!), the Enchanted Tiki Room was purchased by Hollywood executive birds Clyde and Claude before being sold to Iago from Aladdin and Zazu from the Lion King.

  • Both the Great Movie Ride and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror had the Hollywood Sign reading, "Hollywoodland" instead of Hollywood. This was the original text on the sign until it was changed in 1949.
  • Hollywood child-star Shirley Temple Black (1928-2014) is the namesake for, "Shir Lee Temple" and the idol of, "Shir Lee" in the Jungle Cruise.
