The Harambe Theatre was a theatre in the East-African port of Harambe, near Fort Harambe and the Harambe Beach. The theatre contained a theatre-in-the-round style stage.

Background[]
It is unknown when the theatre was constructed. Around the 1990s/2000s, the theatre hosted the, "Festival of the Lion King", a celebration of Simba, the lion king of the African Pride Lands which included his adoptive-fathers Timon the meerkat and Pumbaa the warthog along with an elephant, giraffe and, "Tumble Monkeys" from the Pride Lands. This travelling celebration was hosted by the four human performers Kiume, Nakawa, Kibibi, and Zawadi.
Development history[]
Festival of the Lion King was held in the defunct area of Camp Minnie-Mickey from 1998 to 2014 , set within the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. The attraction was moved to Africa in 2014 due to construction on Pandora: The World of Avatar.
