The Giant frogs are animals which appear in the Magic Kingdom's Jungle Cruise.
Description[]
These were large frogs with red eyes similar to that of a red-eyed tree-frog. They inhabited the rainforests of the Amazon river near Inspiration Falls.
History[]
Development history[]
The frogs were designed for Walt Disney World's Jungle Cruise by animator and Disney legend Marc Davis. The frogs were referred to in promotional materials as being, "as big as Boston bulldogs". The frogs were apparently removed around the spring of 1972 at the request of chairman of Disney Parks Dick Nunis for looking, "Dumb".[1] Two frogs would make their return in October 2021 for the 50th anniversary of the park.
