History[]

Background[]

Eye on the Globe was a newsreel service from America, active in the mid 1930s. In 1936, they covered the story of the Lost Delta Archaeological Expedition in the Lost Delta of India. This excavation headed by Indiana Jones and Sallah Mohammed Faisel el-Kahir uncovered the Temple of the Forbidden Eye which contained the goddess Mara who granted gifts of wealth, youth and knowledge. This attracted tourism from across the world, encouraged by the greedy British Colonial Affairs section of the British Empire. Around the early July of 1936, they also covered the story of a group of tourists who went missing in the temple and were presumably killed by Mara, leading to Indiana Jones seeking them out on July 6 only to be deemed missing himself a week later.
