Biography[]

Dr. K. Kulunda was a doctor around the 1990s/2000s who was employed as reserve director of the Harambe Wildlife Reserve in the East-African port of Harambe. Here, they were the founder and director of the Wildlife Conservation School.

On the Tuesday, March 17 of an unidentified year, Kulunda oversaw the transport of three okapis to the reserve from the Ituri Okapi Project of the Ituri forest in the Congo. These okapis consisted of two females and a young male, brought from the Central African rainforest of Ituri rainforest in Zaire. Kulunda was interviewed on the okapi transfer by the Weekly Journal where Kulunda explained it as a, "Homecoming" for the okapi population in Harambe.[1] Additionally, Kulunda gave lectures on the biology and evolutionary history of the okapi, presumably at the reserve's Wildlife Conservation School.
