The Dominguez Palm is a tree at Disneyland's Jungle Cruise.

The Dominguez palm-tree is a large palm-tree located in the Lost Delta region of India. The tree grows adjacent to a river boathouse from the 19th century which by the 1930s was used by the Jungle Navigation Company.

The Dominguez palm is a palm-tree located in the Lost Delta of India. The tree grows adjacent to the western side of a river boathouse from the 19th century which by the 1930s was used by the Jungle Navigation Company.

Development history[]

The palm-tree was planted in 1896 by the orange grove owning Dominguez family. Their grandson Ron Dominguez later sold his property to Walt Disney to build Disneyland but they left the palm up as a tribute, hidden in plain sight.[1]

The tree appears along the boathouse of Disneyland's Jungle Cruise. An illustration of the palm-tree is shown beside the boathouse on a map of the Rivers of Adventure in the queue for Disneyland's Jungle Cruise.[2]
