Biography[]
Captain Philip James Blumburtt was captain of the British Empire's Eleventh Poona Rifles in subjugated India. In 1935, Blumburtt travelled with his officers to the Pankot Province in pursuit of the presumed-extinct Thuggee cult. While at the Pankot Palace, he became allies with archaeologist Indiana Jones whom he teamed-up with to defeat the Thuggee and their leader Mola Ram.

Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye[]
One of the members of British Colonial Affairs who assisted Indiana Jones and Sallah in excavating the Temple of the Forbidden Eye in India's Lost Delta was one Colonel Blumbard. He is identified as having been a colonel and attache to the Consul General. If Blumbard and Blumburtt are variant spellings of the same name, it might implicate Blumburtt having been promoted after the events of the film, or this to be a relative.
