The baboons are animals in the Jungle Cruise.
Description[]
The baboons in the Jungle Cruise are likely olive baboons, Chacma baboons or yellow baboons. They were native to the Congo basin of Africa. Skippers have given them the informal punny names of Daniel, Pat, Debbie, and Vidal after various famous Boones and hairstylist Vidal Sassoon.

Jungle Cruise[]
The baboons appear along the Congo river, near the base camp amidst its raiding by gorillas. They previously appeared atop the termite mounds in the African Veldt.[1]
Jingle Cruise[]
In this overlay, the baboons rip apart a Santa Claus outfit and dress in it.

Several books allude to the baboons such as, "The Baboon and the Banana" by A. DeBont, the Baboon Book by K. Lively, Baboons of Africa by Alfred Matthews, Banjos and Baboons by Goff, and the Savannah Rovers by Babette Boon.
Trivia[]
- In the Jungle Cruise, the name Pat also applies to an asian woman whose name is carved into the boats.
