Anna is a minor character in Jungle Cruise. She was the daughter of Lope de Aguirre who's terminal illness was the primary motivator for the initial expedition to find the Tears of the Moon.

Biography[]
Anna was the daughter of conquistador Lope de Aguirre in the 16th century. When Anna developed terminal illness, Lope lead an expedition to seek out the mystical Tears of the Moon tree in the Amazon rainforest to cure her. This expedition was disastrous with Lope and his men being cursed to be trapped in the Amazon by the Puka Michuna tribe which they attempted to slaughter for the tree. Anna's further fate is unknown though it is most likely that she succumbed to her illness.

- She is a fictionalized character loosely based on Lope de Aguirre's historic daughter, Elvira whom he murdered to prevent from being killed and sexually-assaulted by enemy spaniards. In the Werner Herzog film Aguirre, the Wrath of God (1971) which influenced Lope's film integration, Lope's daughter was a teenaged girl named Flores whom Lope has incestuous attraction for but whom is killed by the arrows of Indigenous people when Lope attacks their land.
