Albert the Monkey is protagonist of the attraction Mystic Manor.

History[]

Biography[]

Albert was a monkey inhabiting the jungles of Papua New Guinea around the late 1870s/early 1880s. When Albert was to be eaten by a giant spider, he was saved by British aristocrat and colonist Lord Henry Mystic. Mystic adopted the monkey and named him Albert after a beloved uncle.

Lord Henry Mystic and Albert went on many adventures together across the world. In 1896, the two returned to Papua New Guinea where they claimed a large swath of land that they colonized into Mystic Point. Within the colony they built Mystic Manor, a victorian mansion which held what would become a collection of 7,000 artifacts taken from across the Earth.

In 1908, Lord Mystic began letting outsiders into the colony to show off his collection of artifacts and inventions. On one of these tours, Albert opened the cursed Balinese Music Box, nearly causing catastrophe. Mystic and Albert often attended the estate of fellow S.E.A. member Dr. Albert Falls which held a secret meeting-place for the society. Prior to 1938, Albert wrote a book which was titled, "FUZNEWI PDMWH CHF JD U".
