The bull elephant is encountered in the jungles along the Nile river. In the Amazon River Base, the elephant appears on a mural advertisement for the Jungle Navigation Company. A removed element from Disneyland's Jungle Cruise queue were the tips of elephant tusks being used by skippers as chess pieces.

- Concept art by Marc Davis shows an unused design for the entrance to Disneyland's Jungle Cruise boathouse which would have featured a pair of African elephant tusks with designs carved into them.
