The Adventureland Bazaar is the setting for the shopping area of the same name in Adventureland. It might also be the setting for the Agrabah Bazaar in the Magic Kingdom's Adventureland.

Description[]

The Adventureland Bazaar is a shopping location, implied to be located in the Arabian kingdom of Agrabah near the Jordan river. The bazaar gets its name from being a prime shopping place in Adventureland, a mystical hybrid of jungles across the globe connected by the Rivers of Adventure.

In The Daily Gnus were advertisements for the bazaar which read, "Adventureland Bazaar for all your shopping needs, From everyday to the bizarre". The bazaar was also featured on a maraglyph map of Adventureland. On the outpost's bulletin board there was a note reading, "-New book by Prof. Albright the Albright Award Winning Author Only at the bazaar”, referencing historic author, archaeologist and biblical scholar, William F. Albright (1891-1971).

In the canteen's library is a book by James Q. Treeface called, "The Strange Bazaar".

Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar[]

In Sam's bar is a mounted banjo reading, "Banjo lessons contact H. Goff; dock 54".[1]

Tropical Hideaway[]

Rosita mentions the establishment when she claims the region across from the hideaway is, "Bizarre". In-universe, she might be referring to a marketplace on the edge of the hideaway.

The Genie of the Other Lamp is mentioned as being on the pay-roll of Bengal Barbecue.

Jungle Cruise[]

A window above the bazaar is for Prof. Harper Goff, a member of the Jungle Navigation Company and tribute to imagineer Harper Goff. One of the genie of the other lamp's prophecies foretells guests, "Cruising the rivers of the world" referencing the Jungle Cruise and Rivers of Adventure. Additionally, one of the racks in the bazaar has the likeness of a Jungle River Boat atop it.

The Agrabah Bazaar was featured on Merlin's map of Adventureland.

Trivia[]

  • The market resembles a similar marketplace from the film Casablanca (1942), a film which Harper Goff was set-designer for.
