The A. Falls Expedition, possibly also known as the is A. Falls Botanical Expedition is a fictional expedition from the Jungle Cruise film.

History[]

Background[]

Beginning[]

The A. Falls Expedition was lead by British colonist Dr. Albert Falls, a member of the amoral Royal Anthropological and Diverse Adventures Society from London, England. The expedition was launched to try and track down the Tears of the Moon, a supernatural tree which could cure any ailment. The date of the expedition is unknown though it is known to have occurred prior to the year 1916.

Expedition[]

Dr. Albert Falls' expedition was unsuccessful though he did recover the Arrowhead of Lukarina in the jungle. This arrowhead was a sacred artifact of the Indigenous Puka Michuna tribe which guarded the Tears of the Moon and which was lost in 1556. The Falls expedition had the arrowhead sent back to the society's headquarters in London via transport from Liverpool, England.

Aftermath[]

In 1916, the society planned on selling the arrowhead to Prince Joachim, the son of Kaiser Wilhelm II who intended on using the tree to aid Germany in winning World War I and taking over the globe. In this same year, aspiring member MacGregor Houghton requested access to the arrowhead for his own expedition which was denied out of prejudice for MacGregor and his sister, Lily Houghton. Prior to member Sir James Hobbs-Coddington being able to sell the arrowhead, the artifact was stolen by Lily for her successful expedition in finding the tree.

Trivia[]

  • It is unknown if (but likely that ) the expedition was connected to Frank Wolff, an ally of the Puka Michuna in the expedition's region and who was secretly an immortal conquistador that needed to find the tree to undo his curse. This connection is due to Frank in 1916 having been a member of the Jungle Navigation Company which Dr. Falls founded in 1911 and the Magic Kingdom's Jungle Cruise referencing them as having known one another.
